Curaçao pulled off a stunning comeback victory in the CONCACAF Nations League on Thursday. Dick Advocaat's side beat Costa Rica 4-3 away in San José after trailing 3-0 at halftime.

Costa Rica raced into an early lead through Orlando Sinclair and Carlos Mora added two more before the break to make it 3-0. Advocaat introduced three attacking substitutes in the second half and it changed the game. Kenji Gorré pulled one back in the 62nd minute. Tahith Chong headed in a second four minutes later. Gorré equalised in the 78th minute and Jordi Paulina nodded home the winner eight minutes from time. Paulina and Leandro Bacuna were both booked in the closing stages.

"With fresh forces Tahith Chong, Kenji Gorré and Jordi Paulina on the pitch, we launched the attack and that paid off," Advocaat said afterwards.

The victory puts Curaçao top of their Nations League group at the first attempt. Their next match is at home to Nicaragua in just three days' time.
